Thursday Fellowship
This group is aimed for our senior members to have a time of friendship and chat. The group meet on the third Thursday of the month in the church hall for tea and a chat. The meeting begins at 10.30am and while the group is intended to cater for our senior members it is hoped that if anyone is free at this time they will drop in, the members would love to have a chat and get to know any other people connected with the congregation.
Different speakers are in attendance and some of the previous meetings included a talk from Age Concern, Arm chair aerobics and musical entertainment. In the past we have had different people speaking on everything from potatoes to having a slide show of “Old Larne.” The emphasis is on having time together and some light hearted but interesting talk.
At present there are around 25 people who attend regularly and this meeting is proving to be interesting and very entertaining.
